COMMITTEES BEING FORMED

Committees meet to determine the needs of Members and make recommendations to the
Board of Directors for programs and services. It is very important for your Board to have
dedicated Members serving on the Committees. Listed below are the Committees of the
Board, along with a brief description of their functions. We urge you to become involved
in one or more Committees and get the fullest benefits from your membership.

AWARDS
Plans the Annual Installation/Awards Banquet.
Verifies the Circle of Excellence applications.

BYLAWS
Review Bylaws for deficiencies, errors,
omissions, etc…Study suggested
changes to Bylaws and draft any
proposed changes.

CULTURAL DIVERSITY
Promote understanding of equal housing
opportunity by providing information to all
Members

EDUCATION/PROGRAM
Provide quality programs, courses,
seminars and other information to further
the knowledge of the Members.

Technology
Help keep Member Services up to date with current technology/online services.

GRIEVANCE*
Investigate complaints from Members
and/or the public to determine whether or
not the complaint should be referred to
the Professional Standards Committee
for a hearing.

ORIENTATION
Establish and conduct the instructional
courses required for all new Members.

POLITICAL AFFAIRS & LEGISLATION
Develop programs to study local, state
and national issues which concern
REALTORS® and report recommendations
to the Board of Directors for action and
policy. Increase awareness in Members
of the political process and encourage
REALTORS® and REALTOR®-
ASSOCIATES to become involved on all
levels of government.

PROFESSIONAL STANDARDS*
Conduct hearings and render impartial
decisions on complaints of unethical
conduct by Members.

PUBLIC RELATIONS/ COMMUNITY SERVICE
Create for the REALTOR® an image which is
held in respect in the community; promote the
use of the REALTOR® logo and
identification of the meaning of the term
REALTOR®. Plan and execute
community service projects which will
show that REALTORS® care about the well
being of the community from which they earn
their livelihood.

REALTORS® POLITICAL ACTION
COMMITTEE (RPAC)
Educate the membership and raise funds
for candidates supportive of the ideals of
private property ownership and the goals
of the real estate industry.
